No, I do not contract with insurance companies in my practice.
Insurance companies require that the service provided is medically necessary. What that means is you must have symptoms that meet criteria for a psychiatric diagnosis; the purpose of the counseling must be to treat the symptoms of the mental disorder diagnosis.
When I am working with you, the focus of treatment is on your presenting concerns, relationships, background, improving communication, developing new skills and accessing new/old strengths. This does not meet criteria for a mental illness diagnosis.
This ensures your complete privacy and the insurance company cannot dictate how often and for how long I can see you.
Your insurance provider may still cover some or even all session costs, but you will need to get confirmation directly from your insurance provider about what they will or will not cover for psychotherapy sessions with an out of network provider. This will help you to get an idea of what resources are available to you.
A 50 minute session for an individual or couples is $180.
Ongoing sessions for individuals or couples are 90 minutes .
Longer sessions can be scheduled by request. For people interested in EMDR and/or Brainspotting, sometimes the 50 minute time period feels too compressed. A 90 minute session is $350.
Deep Dive Couples sessions is $450. Click Here to learn more about Deep Dive Couples.
Your appointment time has been reserved just for you. If you need to cancel, I ask that you let me know at least 24 hours before your session time. If you miss your session or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee payment for your session still applies. For Monday appointments, if you need to cancel, I ask to be notified by 1 pm Friday afternoon.
If you have any questions about this, please ask me.
You can either call me at 781-223-5659 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or schedule a free fifteen minute phone consultation.
I look forward to connecting with you.
